Caring For The Elderly: Anandam Old Age Home

Every life deserves to age with dignity, care and a sense of belonging. With this belief, Lalbaba actively initiated Anandam in 2017— an old age home near Uluberia dedicated to supporting elderly women who had nowhere to turn. Beginning as a haven for just 27 women, Anandam has grown into a 6,000 sq. ft. elderly-friendly sanctuary — complete with safe infrastructure, a serene garden, a temple, and spaces that nurture peace and connection. Now home to 49 senior residents, it offers more than just shelter — it provides comfort, compassion, and the joy of shared living. From wholesome meals and medical care to spiritual engagement and emotional support, Anandam stands as a symbol of dignity, belonging, and hope. 

Bringing Healthcare Home: Sister Nivedita Charitable Dispensary

With a mission to make quality healthcare accessible in rural areas, Lalbaba established the Sister Nivedita Charitable Dispensary in Bahardab, Midnapore in July 2022. 

What began as a step to reduce the travel burden for villagers has grown into a lifeline for the community — treating over 10,000 patients and registering 2,179 beneficiaries to date. 

By offering daily medical care, guidance, and timely attention, the dispensary not only heals bodies but strengthens the spirit of self-reliance and dignity in the lives it touches every day. 

Free coaching centre in Bediapara, Dumdum

Guided by the belief that quality education should be a right, not a privilege, Lalbaba initiated a free coaching centre in Bediapara, Dumdum — creating a safe, supportive space for students from underserved communities to learn, grow, and pursue their dreams. 

What began with just 10 learners has blossomed into a vibrant learning space for 22 young minds, nurtured through dedicated classes and the annual Lalbaba Talent Hunt Examination, which saw participation rise from 254 in 2023 to 281 in 2024. 

Over the years, several students have gone on to pursue careers in engineering, medicine, and public service — living proof of what support and opportunity can spark. 

Lighting the Path to Learning with a Free Library at Kishanganj

Helping rural students rewrite their futures, Lalbaba extends its support to a free coaching centre and library in Kishanganj, Bihar. Located in one of the region’s most underserved areas, the centre offers students a space to learn, explore, and grow.

Right from infrastructure development and administrative needs to essential learning resources — the initiative supports everything to create not just a classroom, but a community where education opens doors to new possibilities.

Supporting Lives with Care: Gandhi Ashram, Haldia

Helping provide stability to some of the most vulnerable, Lalbaba supports Gandhi Ashram — a rehabilitation centre located near its Haldia plant in Sutahata. The ashram functions as both an orphanage and a care home for destitute women and individuals with mental disabilities.

Lalbaba contributes by supplying monthly rations and actively working on improving the ashram’s infrastructure, creating a safer and more dignified living environment. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to support inclusive communities and extend care where it’s needed most.
